Pane & Tab Navigation — 0:12 walkthrough

What you'll see

  1. Launch rysh, split a pane (Ctrl+P n) and open a new tab (Ctrl+T n).
  2. Cycle panes with Tab, and step between them with Alt+Up / Alt+Down.
  3. Switch tabs with [ / ] and Alt+Left / Alt+Right.
  4. Show the macOS-friendly Alt+B / Alt+F for previous / next tab.

0:03Start rysh. We'll build out a few panes and tabs so there is something to navigate.

0:08Ctrl+P then n splits a pane to the right. Ctrl+T then n opens a fresh tab.

0:15Press Tab to cycle to the next pane. Alt+Up and Alt+Down step between panes too.

0:24Brackets move between tabs -- left bracket back, right bracket forward. Alt+Left and Alt+Right do the same.

0:34On macOS, Option plus arrow can be tricky, so Alt+B and Alt+F also walk between your tabs.
